Dr. Nir Weinberger

Nir Weinberger is a MIT-Technion postdoctoral fellow at IDSS and LIDS, hosted by Guy Bresler and Alexander Rakhlin. His research interests include information theory and its connections to statistics, with a focus on large-deviations bounds, learning theory, and analysis of Boolean functions. He received BSc and MSc degrees from Tel-Aviv University, Israel in 2006 and 2009, and his PhD from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in 2017. From 2017 to 2018 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Tel-Aviv University. From 2006 to 2013 he served as an Algorithm Engineer, developing Communications and Signal Processing Algorithms.
